Norman Ballou was born in 1949. He worked at Creativity Explored as an artist from 1997 until his death in 2011.
When creating art, Ballou chose the colors he worked with, but it was the process or activity of painting and layering materials that appealed most to him. Ballou’s work was exclusively non-figurative with the exception of found objects such as toys that he often attached to his always “in-progress” sculptural columns. Ballou had an intense interest in the Beatles and this was a recurrent theme in his work. He did not appear particularly interested in exploring other subject matter.
