Musette Perkins was born 1982 and is a native San Franciscan. She has been an assiduous artist in the our studio since 2001.
Perkins’ clean-lined drawings depict familiar symbols and icons in a realistic style. She repeats these images in complex patterns that fill the picture plane. She also likes to incorporate text into her drawings and paintings, often prose or poetry that she finds interesting. Usually leaving the background paper white, she uses primarily purples and pinks to outline her images.
More recently, Perkins has enjoyed working on group collages and textile pieces, combining her own small-scale works with those of other artists.
